Dynamite River Aims to Find Body of George Brehm

Bridgeport divers dynamite the Housatonic near Pine Rock Park to raise the drowned George Brehm. Local residents along the river watch for the body as strong current may carry it away. George E. Getts, longtime Southern New England Telephone manager, moves to a new special agent post July 1. W. W. Knight will succeed him. Second Regiment Band Plans Saturday Beardsley Park Concert

The Second Regiment Band of New Haven will perform at Beardsley Park Saturday at 2 pm. The park board notes no Sunday shows this month except July 16 with Coast Artillery at Seaside Park. July Fourth features Wheeler & Wilson at Beardsley and Coast Artillery at Seaside.

Hamilton Says He Owed Wife 1600 Dollars

Yale Brewing Co. of New Haven sues Daniel H. Hamilton and wife of South Norwalk alleging fraud by conveying property to the wife to defraud creditors. Hamilton admits owing 200 dollars but claims the transfer was to settle a 1600 dollar debt to his wife. Judge Davis of Danbury heard the civil case. decision reserved. In a separate note, Rep Mann teased Rep Fowler over inserting the word applause in a prepared speech.

Teamster shot by policeman with one arm in East Bridgeport

George Mason, 22, a nightwatchman, was shot in the rear thigh by Special Policeman Zephyr Menier during a street confrontation at Nichols and Kossuth streets. Mason, drunk, was jailed 60 days for resisting an officer and drunkenness. Clark, 134 Hallam Street, fined and jailed 60 days for interference. Mason and Clark, fellow teamsters, both connected to Pembroke Street home.

Decision Upholds Lost Will Case Against Mrs. Bunnell

South Norwalk June 27 Judge Daniel Bradley Jr Fairfield Common Pleas today handed down a decision in the lost will case of the late George Bunnell of Southport. The court found that Mrs. Bunnell did not hold a valid will and rejected her claim that her husband left a copy of the will. The estate totals were not fully disclosed and counsel for Mrs. Bunnell said an appeal would be filed. Meanwhile Miss Sue Vorhees celebrated her 51st birthday in the old ladies home by skipping rope 21 times.
