Amer ica Air Boat Flies Over Lake Heuka In Test
Rodman Wanamaker's air boat Amer ica completed two short test flights over the southern end of Lake Heuka near Hammondsport New York. Each pass lasted about twenty minutes with half in water and half in air. In the second flight it climbed to sixty feet for a minute, piloted by Glenn H Curtiss and Lt. It’s described as the finest flying craft I ever sat in, steady as a rock, though not yet finished for the owner.
