The death of Abe Segal, Bridgeport's well known advertising figure, comes as a shock to many. He died of a kidney ailment while hospitalized in Providence during a trip to Rhode Island. He lived at 1518 Park Avenue, was active in Jewish affairs, and his daughter Rose's wedding to Henry Eisen in Brooklyn was underway when news arrived. Funeral services were held at 2:30 PM at his niece’s home, with Rev. David Levi officiating. He is survived by daughters Essie and Rose.
