It would cost little to collect corporation tax
Washington, June 21. Treasury experts estimate it would cost the government hardly $100,000 more to collect the two percent tax on net earnings of corporations as Taft proposed. If the tariff bill amendment passes, the Bureau of Corporations may assist the Internal Revenue officers, a move that would involve little extra expense and ease collection compared with an individual income tax.
