Bridgeport Circus Breaks Attendance Records for B and B Show

Bridgeport’s “Greatest Show on Earth” drew one of the largest crowds in memory with about fourteen thousand at the afternoon performance and more than fifteen thousand at the evening show. The eight pole tent was packed, forcing spectators to sit on hay and straw. Despite shortages of trained staff and rain delaying loadout, the Ringling troupe delivered a high energy program across three rings, featuring Bila Bradna, Elmer Wells, and the Hannerford bareback riders. Officials noted exceptional crowd enthusiasm and discounted rumors of imminent cancellations as business remained strong and East Coast performances were favored to lift the route westward.
