A patient admitted last night at St. Vincent's Hospital fled the corridor and leaped through a double glazed window. injured and partly unclothed, he then attempted to board a Bridgeport bound trolley car before being restrained by staff. An undertaker's wagon carrying a Bridgeport-based body was also seen near the scene. Hospital authorities withheld names of the patient and nurse.

Coffin, a civil engineer, whose arrest followed her invitation to police. She said Coffin pursued her on Broadway near the Knickerbocker, and a New York traffic policeman was asked to arrest him after she steered him toward Hershey Square. Coffin posted a $500 bond.
