Cronan dies from infection after packing plant fire
Lieut James Cronan of Bridgeport Fire Department dies at 31 after blood poisoning from a hand wound suffered fighting the Cudahy Packing Plant blaze on Water Street weeks earlier. He lived with his widowed mother at 101 Lee Avenue and is survived by two brothers and four sisters. Funeral at St Peters Church with Father T J Kelley. Fatal clash in Mamaroneck between police and strikers
