Rear End Collision at Houston and Texas Central Crossing
A freight train collided with a poultry wagon driven by Bohemian farmer John Roche of Wesley near the West Street crossing. The wagon turned at a right angle, struck a telegraph pole, and was shredded. Driver escaped unharmed though the wagon and mule were destroyed. A bystander’s labor to assist is noted, and the incident occurred around noon Monday. Finely printed ad at end touts 35 cent coffee.
