Ex Gov Davis spoke to the Greenback meeting in Austin and urged Republicans to back the Waco nominees. He stated the Rads and Greenbackers are the same and claimed Democrats may join this band as intelligent men shift lines. Tracy DeGress and Keuchler have already crossed over.

He contends banks inflate debt, concentrate money power, and drain profits from the people, while greenbacks would save interest and curb debt reliance. He cites expenditures under Democratic and Republican rule, noting per capita costs and a Houston financier view on money. The report adds a corn sugar process and huge sugar imports.
Chas W Angel secretary of the Pulman Palace Car Company in Chicago is accused of stealing 120090 dollars from the firm and fleeing to Europe. The allegation centers on misappropriated funds during his tenure as secretary.

Auucast 15th 78 locals gathered at Major McGehee residence to organize a literary society. Officers elected include W R McCutchan president and W H Hans vice president. The society plans music readings and duets at next meeting at Harry Hons residence.
