In Hattiesburg last night a major blaze destroyed the old compress building Swift and Co s place of business livery barn two barber shops and a blacksmith shop. Loss around 30000 with Swift and Co s at about 7000 insurance status unknown. Magruder Ferguson and Allen items 13000 lost. Graham loses five horses and one survey at 1000. Jerunga loses three cabins valued at 500 unknown origin of fire.
