Two Are Shot to Death in Brooklyn Bedroom Tragedy
Mrs Barbara Cornelius wife of a produce market employee and George McAghen of Jersey City were found shot to death in the bedroom of her Brooklyn home. The husband said McAghon climbed in through the window fired at him and then killed Mrs Cornelius before dying by his own hand. McAghon was found with a revolver and powder on his fingers. Cornelius said he had never seen McAghon before and had mistaken him for a beer. Police learned Mrs Cornelius had received postal cards signed with McAghon's initials.

Victor Paul a native of India recounts war zone experiences and says he has no desire to return to scenes of strife. A white man was fatally mutilated when a Tupelo bound accommodation train from Memphis ran over him north of the Tupelo Pontotoc crossing. The body was scattered along the track with clothing on the cowcatcher. Engineer Holt initially mistook the corpse for a calf or bundle of paper. The man’s memorandum book bore the name E C Johnson of Tuskegee Alabama. Undertakers arranged shipment to Tuskegee after contact with the father. A coroner’s inquest was held with Conductor Webb and the crew present.
