Brick Block To Rise On Sixth Street By Gardner
Excavation for a new brick block by J S Gardner on Sixth street is complete and the foundation laid. The two story 25 by 80 foot building will have a store on the first floor and a large public hall on the second floor for secret societies. Gardner aims to finish this fall. In East Brainerd the school board hired a room and Miss Small as teacher. A second ward room is sought as the old Episcopal church square building was unavailable. The primary room will be split between morning and afternoon sessions to accommodate all scholars.
