Ex Senator J E McDonaud of Indiana died at his home in Indianapolis on Sunday. A number of brief political notes accompany the obituary mentioning McKinley era customs receipts projections and party adjustments. The item also notes political appointments and rumors surrounding marriage licenses and divorce among notable figures.

The N P company employees plan a Saturday outing to Detroit Lake near Detroit Minnesota with an excursion train from Brainerd at 6 am and a 4 am cannon wake up. The Third Regiment Band and Whitford s orchestra accompany the trip. activities include races games and prizes at the picnic grounds plus boat and steamer rides.
