Gas Rate Hike Sought by Brady Municipal Gas Corp

City Council heard facts and figures on a proposed rate increase for Brady Municipal Gas Corp. A June report showed August losses of 13,696 on receipts of 145,066 and expenses of 158,762. Costs rose from 958,837 in 1976 to 1,427,597 in 1977, while outside gas purchases surged. Residential prices rose 16 percent to 2.00 per thousand cubic feet this August, and company-owned gas share fell from 67 to 33 percent.
