Pancake Feed Slated Oct 20 by Brady Lions Club
The Brady Lions Club hosts its annual fall pancake supper in Brady High School cafeteria on Friday afternoon and evening October 20 before the Brady football game. Andy Allen leads the event with games from 5 30 p m to 7 30 p m and an 8 p m kickoff. Pancakes come with syrup bacon butter and door prizes. Prices are 75 cents for adults and 50 cents for children through high school, including tax.

Thief trio nabbed for rifle theft linked to councilman
A San Antonio couple and a 19 year old ex student stole a rifle from R A McShan a Brady city councilman leaving it in his pickup outside a City Council meeting. The chase ended with the rifle recovered and the trio jailed. A second theft item a $22 50 electric razor was found behind Breck store along with footprints matching a suspect. Police seek proper charges.

Murder Charge Set for W A Stone in Brady Case
A murder with malice charge against W A Stone of Brady is scheduled for 10 a m Monday in the District Court. A jury of about 100 will be called Tuesday to allow motions from Monday to be acted on. Witnesses include Archie and Marsha Stone, Game Warden Bill Bennett, Edmon Ellison, Lee Roy Kensing, and Dr. G H Ricks. Stone is held without bond at the McCulloch County jail.

County Exhibits Show Opens Friday at Curtis Field

More than 200 parents attended Brady High School back to school night organized by the PTA. The group adopted a $231.75 budget for 1961-62, approved four recommendations including tickets to the Lions Club Honor Banquet, a Teen Time Day clinic, dessert basket fundraisers, and a class prize. The next meeting is January 8 on Alcoholic Education.
