McCulloch County Sets One Day Polio Immunization
McCulloch County plans a countywide polio vaccination June in a single day on Nov 11 with four clinics. Type I vaccine offered to all residents from infants to seniors at no charge, with other types to follow in six to eight weeks. The program, sponsored by the McCulloch County Medical Society and Beta Sigma Phi, involves volunteers and local doctors and nurses. Donations will cover costs, averaging about 25 cents per dose.

Debt Paid Church To Be Consecrated

Brady Hosts Six-Man Game Friday Night
Brady will host a six-man football game in Bulldog Stadium as Lohn Eagles meet Sidney Eagles of Comanche County. Admission is 1 dollar for adults and 25 cents for children. It is Lohn’s homecoming. Miss Football will be introduced at halftime. Charles Yarbrough is in his first year as Lohn head coach and hails from Odessa. The six-man game uses 89 yard fields and two-point kicks after extra points. Brady also schedules a Thursday November 8 match against Wall Hawks.

U. S. Seeks New Trial Over Curtis Field Fire Fund
The United States asks for a new trial in Brady dispute over an 8535 fire insurance settlement from Curtis Field. Judge Joe Dibre l ruled the money belongs to the City, not Brady Aviation Corp or IMCO or the federal government. The U. S. contends BAC's rights to the fund are superior based on an unpaid $63,456 federal taxes judgment.

First Christian Church Prepares 80th Anniversary Celebration

Lions Club Backs Study of New McCulloch County Courthouse
The Brady Lions Club voted unanimously to petition the McCulloch County commissioners court to investigate building a new courthouse. George Purcell of the Chamber of Commerce said the federal government would pay half under the Area Redevelopment Act. Purcell stressed the chamber is not advocating the project, just gauging citizen sentiment. About 85 Lions expressed enthusiasm if costs are manageable.

Three McCulloch County 4-H members will show eight head of livestock in the Junior Livestock Show at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas next week. Participants include Lewis Bratton with one steer and two fat lambs, Bill Bratton with one steer and two fat lambs from Rochelle 4-H, and Gayle Taliaferro from Melvin 4-H with two fat lambs.
