Wheat Referendum Set On Oct 12 15
A mail referendum on 1971 crop wheat marketing quotas will be held Oct 12–15 as announced by Secretary of Agriculture Clif Ford M Hardin. About 1.6 million recipients will receive allotment notices, and signed ballots must reach county offices by Oct 15. Preliminary results will be released by USDA shortly after Oct 20.
