Burglar Hits Cliff's Liquor Store on South Bridge
A burglar broke into Cliff's Liquor Store on South Bridge Street, stealing about $90 in cigarettes, $550 in liquor, two pistols from a drawer, after failing to gain entry via a side door. The offender cut the glass and kicked the front window to access the showroom. The thief appeared to know the layout of the store.

Ex-Addict Richard Perigo Addresses Brady High Students
About 600 Brady High School students listened as Richard Perigo former drug addict and parolee spoke on not sacrificing freedom for dope. He described starting with marijuana at 14 the road to addiction and prison and urged youths to avoid drugs noting the dangers and lack of humanity inside the penitentiary. He recalled solitary confinement and a turning point prayer promising to warn others about drugs once released.
