UF Employees Group To Begin Campaign In McCulloch County
The McCulloch County United Fund Employees Division will start this year’s campaign with a breakfast at Plateau Restaurant next Tuesday at 8 am. General chairman Jim Huffman urges all county citizens to support the drive, crediting county-wide effort and noting the Advanced Gifts Committee began last Friday with $13,435 budget to be shared by 13 welfare and character building groups.

Judge Dibrell Endorses Amendment No. 8 in Election

Death of Mary Estelle Merwin 85 Resident of Brady
Mrs. Mary Estelle Merwin 85 a Brady resident for 83 years died at Medical and Surgical Hospital at 12 45 pm Wednesday. She lived at 306 Crothers Ave and had been ill two weeks. Funeral 4 30 pm Thursday at St Pauls Episcopal Church burial in Live Oak Cemetery. She born in Rockport moved to Brady at age two later represented a cosmetic firm traveling nationwide. Survived by sister Mrs Clara Wood in Brady with two nieces two great nieces and two great great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers listed.

Brady schools will dismiss Friday at 2 PM for the Brady-Belton football game in Belton. Superintendent C A Reynolds said the early hour allows the long travel distance and for buses to return to transport students to the game.

The City Council reappointed Dr. Robert Hays as City Health Officer and renewed terms for Dr. Jerry Wood and Elbert Boswell on the Public Housing Authority. Sixty five Brady graduates pursue further education
Sixty five Brady High School graduates in 1965 saw fifty seven go on to college or further study.
