Traffic light approved at South Bridge and 17th Streets
City Supt. James Feazelle and Resident Engineer Ben Dillon announced the State Highway Department approved a traffic light at the South Bridge and 17th Streets intersection. Work has begun and the light should be operative in about three months as Dillon noted. The semi actuary signal will stay green on South Bridge until activated by a vehicle on 17th Street.

Price increase for McCulloch County history books delayed
The Heart of Texas Museum board delays the price hike on the McCulloch County History Handbook to fulfill a flood of orders from around the globe. The sale benefits the museum and allows Christmas purchases at the current price of 19.05 dollars, with shipping included. Survivors of Ruth Byrd Barton are listed in a separate obituary.
