Santa Claus Visits Brady December Fourth Set
The Brady Chamber of Commerce ordered the Christmas home decoration and lighting contest with prizes of 20, 15, and 10 dollars. Santa’s visit is scheduled Saturday December 4 from 12 45 to 3 p m on the courthouse south side. The Livestock Committee fixed January 15 for the Junior Livestock Show with unchanged classes and an appointed judge. The United Fund drive is progressing well and the sand plant road matter received a favorable report from the Commissioner's Court.

Melvin Stockfarmer Dies In Accident Wednesday
Robert Ledbetter age 65 of Melvin dies at 10 10 a m Wednesday at Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital from injuries in a two vehicle crash on Texas Highway 71 eight miles southeast of Brady. A 1962 Falcon collided with a dump truck driven by Joseph Don Jordan 20 of Brady who was uninjured. Negligent homicide filed against Jordan. Ledbetter survived by wife Lucille Latham Ledbetter. Funeral set for 2 p m Friday at Wilkerson Memorial Chapel with burial Live Oak Cemetery. He was a stock farmer born May 11 1906 in Burnet and survived by wife daughter two sisters three brothers and three grandchildren.
