Trio Killed in Voca Area Auto Crash at Highway Crossing
Three people died in a two-vehicle collision at the Farm Market Road 1851 and State Highway 731 intersection south of Voca. Victims were Mrs. George Spiller and Mrs. Ewell Elliott, both local residents, and James Vernon Logan of Lake Buchanan who died later at Brady Hospital. A joint funeral for the two women is set for Friday at the Church of Christ in Voca.

McCulloch County Farm Bureau directors met Monday night and reelected James O. Rudolph of Lohn as president. Bobby Hurd of Brady was named vice president and W. E. Lohn was re elected secretary treasurer. Three new directors were appointed Gerald Huffman Brady Paul Engdahl Rochelle and E T Williams Camp San Saba. The bureau closed its fiscal year October 31 with a record 454 members.

Ten Tragic Voca Deaths In Three Years
Ten people have died in fatal accidents in or near Voca over the past three years. Dr Roy Baker of Brady died in a single vehicle crash north of Voca in November 1955. A C Stewart and Damon Passmore were killed in a nitroglycerin explosion in January 1956. A San Angelo family perished in a flash flood at the Voca bridge in April 1956. Mrs Lee Lay of Voca was killed at the same intersection in September 1957, making the total ten.
