McCulloch County will hold three Democratic primary contests on July 28 for commissioner Precincts 1 and 3 and for constable Precinct 1. Deadline to file was Monday at midnight. Five men filed for commissioner Precinct 1 in Brady: H. B. Patterson, re election. Joe Jay. Paul Johnson. Walter L. Bryson. Audley Malmstrom. H R Kyzar and BD J Marsden had announced. Kyzar’s son said his father still intends to run and tried to file. Marsden said the deadline slipped up on him.

Robert Roddie Home For Knee Recovery
Robert Roddie who broke his knee in a motorcycle crash on South Bridge Street last Sunday was returned home from Harris Memorial Hospital in Fort Worth on Wednesday. He stays with his parents Mr and Mrs Jack Roddie at 802 West 12th Street and will remain in bed for several weeks with a heavy cast on his right knee.
