Polls Open 8 to 7 in McCulloch County Primaries
Voters may cast ballots from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday May 6 in the Democratic and Republican primaries. Brady boxes include Box 1 Choral Room Brady High School, Box 2 Richards Memorial Library, Box 3 Boy Scout Lodge, Box 4 National Guard Armory. Democratic precinct conventions meet at 2 p.m. at the voting sites.

Emma Mae Bode wife of the late Wallace Bode is chosen by the McCulloch County League of Vocational Nurses as Nurse of the Year She will represent local nurses at the state meeting in Dallas in June Bode earned her vocational nurse license in 1954 and has served as hall nurse at Brady Hospital now Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital since 1954 She has held league offices including president and treasurer and contributed as a Red Cross volunteer with community service and church affiliation She has two sons and four grandsons and regards nursing as a lifelong dream

KNEL to Host Election Party and Broadcast Returns
The Brady Standard and radio KNEL announce an election party Saturday on the north side of The Standard building. Returns will be posted and broadcast from the Chamber of Commerce office. Leslie Jennings Dies In Automobile Accident
Leslie Jennings of Robstown died in an automobile crash Tuesday night. He is the brother of L. V. Jennings and Leon Jennings of Brady. Funeral services are pending.
