Brady High band placed second division for concert playing and sight reading at the Region 1 Interscholastic contests in Abilene at McMurry College. The horn quartet led by Cynthia Reynolds and others won first division, while a clarinet quartet also placed second. A trombone soloist Jerry Rosenberg and a sax quartet including Robert Carmichael and others earned third division.

Brady students exceed norms in district wide tests
Supt. C A Reynolds notes many Brady students score two to three grade levels above norms across grades four through nine. First graders averaged 17.7 on five tests versus 15 norm. second and third graders also posted above norms with reading comprehension and arithmetic computation leading. Senior students at Dunbar and Brady High took Kudler Preference Test to map talents and interests.
