Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Plans May Meeting

The Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will hold its first annual membership meeting at 7:30 p m May 5 in St Pauls Episcopal Parish Hall. Officers nominated include Quitn Moseley president and Bill Bodenhamer vice president. The group aims to grow to 200 members and notes 150 current members have donated over 6 000 hours of volunteer work and $3 700 toward hospital equipment.

World War I Vets Meet Here May 10

The Heart O' Texas Barracks 1466 hosts the 21st District Spring Convention of the Veterans of World War I at Brady Housing Community Center on May 10. District officers include Engdahl, Martin, McCall, Necker, Rogers, and Sitas with Auxiliary president Leslie Sheffield. Registration opens at 8 a.m. at Flamingo Inn. Engdahl to order at 10 a.m. Judge George welcomes. Mayor Lawler speaks. Noon meal follows with memorial service and business session.

Trustees approve low bid for Brady High complex

Brady Independent School District trustees accepted Miller Construction Co. bid of 44275 to construct the industrial arts and drafting complex at Brady High School. The building will rise on the school parking lot at Wall Street and 11th Street following a Monday night called session.
