First Screwworm Case Found Here
Me Culloch County reports its second screwworm case since December after a bull on C T White Brady Creek Ranch was found with a wound parasite. Foreman George Kidd brought the animal to Dr Richard Winters, and samples were sent to Mission for confirmation. Sterile flies will be flown in Wednesday night or Thursday to prevent an outbreak, and livestock producers are urged to stay vigilant and submit samples promptly.

Brady High picks council officers in runoff election
Janice Breckenridge was elected secretary of the Student Council in a runoff at Brady High School. Janie Crew was named treasurer. Four cheerleaders for 1964 65 were elected: Jane Spiller head cheerleader Nancy Gibson Judy Hoffpauli and Gail Me Froom. Alternates are Kay Lankford and Rena Me Broom.

Soldiers Waterhole Monument Erected
The McCulloch County Historical Survey Committee set a monument at Old Soldiers Waterhole on Onion Creek to mark Civil War and Indian history. Gordon McLendon, Democratic Senate hopeful challenging incumbent Ralph Yarborough, made a fly ing visit to Brady.
