San Angelo Moves to Buy Ford Ranch Water Rights
San Angelo on Tuesday voted to exercise an option to purchase water rights from the Ford Ranch on the Hickory formation under G Rollie White Estate lands. The deal covers land in McCulloch Menard and Concho counties with a potential 21 million gallons daily pump and a 55 mile pipeline planned for the 1980s. Brady residents fear a lowered water table might affect their six Brady wells.

High School Golf Teams Gather for Brady Tourney
Twenty four high school squads converge on the Brady Municipal Golf Course for a two division Schoolboy Invitational. Division I features AAA and AAAA schools led by defending champion Crockett of Austin with Stephen F. Austin and Reagan high finishing strong last year. Division II includes AA and A schools led by Iraan Bastrop and Caldwell. Coach Paul Huntington predicts Crockett and Kerrville Troy as top contenders in Division I while Iraan Bastrop and Llano loom in Division II.

Armstrongs Enjoy Two Week Brady Lake Vacation
