Texas hospital releases first official photo of Pat Hazel rigg holding Kar en Marie and Kimberly Marie Webber who were joined from chest to navel at birth on December 8. The item includes other local notes on education funding, a Brady hose coupling invention, weather, and community news.
The Royal Blue Band from Lubbock Christian College will give a concert in Brady on March 9 at 3 p m in the high school auditorium. After Brady the group heads to San Antonio for two more performances and returns to Lubbock via Corpus Christi and Hondo.

The Texas Home Demonstration Association names chairmen for six study group committees. 4-H Committee chairman is Mrs. J. L. Ohthausen with Mrs. Fred Roberts of Richland Springs and others in District 7. Roberts, active 15 years, began 4-H Adult Leadership in 1961 and has led Rochelle 4-H Club. She will meet with the 4-H State Committee in Ballinger on April 2 to draft the Plan of Work for the September 21 25 state meeting in Austin. The meeting will also plan the 4-H Workshop during the annual gathering with other state committees focusing on Health Safety Family Life Citizenship and Recreation.
The report outlines topics for the District 7 THDA planning meeting in Menard on March 2 and the District 7 meeting in San Angelo on May 4. It notes 34,000 THDA members and includes Home Economies briefs on nutrition, fabric care, and egg nutrition.
Carey Lee White Star Route Mercury and Bobby Barsch of Brady are among 26 Texas A&M University students in Education and Psychology now serving as student teachers in Bryan College Station schools. White teaches bookkeeping and grades 11 and 12 at Stephen F. Austin High School. Barsch teaches general science for seventh grade at A&M Consolidated Junior High School.
