Brady High Band schedules parade rehearsals and participation

Hinds Child Dies in Concho County Hospital
Charles Robert Hinds Junior, 14 months, of Brady died Monday at Concho County Hospital. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Camp San Saba Cemetery. Born April 10, 1975 in Big Lake, he is survived by parents, grandparents, and great grandparents in Brady Meridian and Brady areas.

Summer Band Concert On High School Lawn
Students enrolled in summer band classes will present a concert on the high school lawn at 7 15 p m Friday. There is no admission fee and the audience is asked to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the program.
Let Freedom Ring Theme for 1976 BSP Pageant
The Beta Sigma Phi Sorority sponsors the 1976 Miss Heart O' Texas Pageant with the theme Let Freedom Ring. Eight candidates will be judged in appearance personality poise and talent with a Bicentennial salute. The event, 8 p.m. Saturday at Bulldog Stadium, may move to BHS auditorium if weather turns inclement. Judges from Brownwood will interview contestants Saturday morning at Brady Housing Community Center. Saturday night features talent and evening dress judging. K. K. Steffens will welcome attendees and Gerald Johnson will give the invocation.

The Lohn Doole Stacy area in northwest McCulloch County sees oil and gas activity with 25 barrels per day from Beimer No 1. Megargel Drilling reports 17 wells drilled in three months, seven dry, others producing oil or gas. Explorado Oil buys crude. tanks and a separator were built for transport access.

The 49th Brady July Jubilee starts Saturday at G Rollie White Downs with races from 250 yards to five-eighths mile. The program includes the Paint Horse Futurity heats with a $10 000 final purse and a Sunday Derby trial with a $4 500 purse.
