Bomber Chair Installed in Private B-25 Flight
A Dallas businessman converts a B-25 bomber into a luxury private plane. An arm chair in the nose offers a spectacular view at 200 miles per hour as the owner relaxes with a pipe. The postwar private aircraft boom boosts conversions by firms like Southwest Airmotive Corp. and features others such as Convairs and Lockheed Lodestars adapted for civilian use. Doris Duke once owned a B-25 remodel later given to Porfirio Rubirosa.
