St Paul Church Names Sizer Regular Minister
Sam Sizer, after two years as weekend resident minister at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, becomes regular minister following graduation from the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest. The vestry, with Bishop Everett H. Jones’s approval, calls him to the post and his family moves into the rectory. They include four daughters Susan Sally Molly and Marty. He will be ordained as a deacon on June 29 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Corpus Christi.

Brady School Board Approves 2000 Dollars In Furniture

Council Weighs Purchase of New Engine for Power Plant

Ortiz Chooses Texas Tech After Brady Star Visit
Brady High all state halfback Charles Ortiz plans to attend Texas Tech College after visiting the Lubbock campus. He earned a letter of intent for an athletic scholarship. Ortiz previously aimed for the Air Force Academy but failed the English exam for appointment. He is son of Mr and Mrs N L Ortiz and led Brady High to the 1957 state finalist season in scoring and rushing.
