City Council approves 1963 electric bonds purchase
The council voted to buy 35 000 dollars in 1963 series electric light and sewer bonds from Dallas broker Wallace Reid at a discount of 26 525 dollars. The deal saves the city over 30 000 dollars in interest over 20 years and 8 475 dollars below face value, financed from the electric improvement fund at 1 000 dollars monthly. The body also approved annexing 2.4 acres owned by Damon McBee pending ordinances.
