The Brady National Bank directors were re-elected at the annual stockholders meeting Tuesday. Officers include Carrithers as president and chairman, Jones as executive vice president and trust officer, Harkrider as vice president, Geeslin as vice president, Neal as assistant vice president, Jordan as cashier, Calley as assistant cashier, Lewallen as assistant cashier, and Bingham as assistant cashier. The bank paid a 30 percent dividend and plans to move into a new building by late May or early June.

Cold Front Drops Snow and Rain Across Heart of Texas
A freakish cold front moved into central Texas bringing rain and snow. Melvin logged 2.5 inches of snow with more falling Thursday morning. Doole Pear Valley Calf Creek and Ford Ranch reported up to two inches. Brady measured .84 inch of rain at 7 am as showers continued. some moisture fell as slush then turned to snow. Rochelle reported 1.60 inches and Fife 1.40 inches in larger totals. Weather officials forecast colder rain on Thursday.

The 1916 LaFrance fire engine refurbished for tours around the LBJ Ranch was presented to President Johnson by Brady residents in late 1964. The event followed Johnson’s presidency and ties to local memory as the county recalls the former leader after his long life and service.
