Brady High Hosts 27th Heart of Texas Band Festival
Brady High School band director James Mallow announced mailed invitations for the Heart of Texas Band Festival in its 27th year set for March 7-8. The event features an opening night with the Texas A&M University Symphonic Band directed by Capt. Joe McMullen, a sock hop, UIL class 4A to C competitions, and trophies for Best In Class after each contest. Judges include Capt. McMullen, Richard Crain, and Douglas Fry. Entry deadline is Feb. 7 with possible limited free housing in private homes for distant schools.
