Three Plea Guilty in McCulloch County Court
Three men appeared in 35th District Court before Judge Joe Dibrell and pleaded guilty after McCulloch County grand jury indictments last week. Felix Zapata of Brady received a five year probated sentence for unlawful possession of narcotics. Jose Leija of San Antonio was sentenced to three years in the state penitentiary for auto theft from Mrs. Connie Colvin of Brady on December 31. Dr. Thomas Clayton Shirley, 58, longtime Tyler physician, died Monday at Brady Hospital at 7:45 p m from a heart ailment after two weeks as a patient. The body was returned to Tyler for burial. He was an uncle of Dr. Albert McCulloh of Brady.
