Brady Independent School District trustees approve raising insurance on the remodeled high school by 70000 to be shared among ten local insurers. Teacher Mrs. Sally Davis notes progress through activities like grooming, shopping, and using hand tools, with monthly mimeographed newsletters The Tattlegram. Students learn counting reading eye hand coordination and peer interaction while older youths mentor younger ones and a shy girl gains confidence as a boy teases.

Mrs. Tore Carlson Dies in Austin Native of McCulloch
Mrs. Tore Carlson died at 1 p m Tuesday at her Austin home after an extended illness. The Brady native, formerly of Brady, leaves a husband a daughter Mrs Leota Spessky of Austin four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held at Wilkerson Chapel with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery. Rev Dan Harry of Trinity Methodist Church officiated.

Brady place four players on the 8-AA All District team as coaches select first and second teams. Dennis Lane guard Dolen Hargrove and center Mike Easterwood on offense. Hargrove and Fielden on defense with Hargrove also two way. Fredericksburg dominates both sides with multiple honorees. San Saba also well represented.
