Santa Claus arrives in Brady Saturday at 2 PM at Curtis Field and will parade through the plaza. George Purcell of the Chamber of Commerce says the event includes candy distribution and a chance to give letters for possible publication. The Christmas lighting contest offers prizes of 25 15 and 10 dollars with judging Dec. 21.

Lubbock Man Dies In Highway Accident
A Lubbock plumber, Herold Wayne Rushing, 35, died after a pickup overturned on RM Road 734 near Voca, McCulloch County Tuesday night. He was pronounced dead at Brady Hospital after being found pinned beneath the vehicle and transported to Lubbock for funeral services.

Brady Grid Legend Charlie Dye Recalled From Mid 1930s Hero
Charlie Dye, famed Brady High School grid ace, visited his hometown with wife Wilda and son Greg. Dragged by memories of 1935 1937 1943 seasons, Dye recalls 60 yard punt returns, district titles, and a famed San Saba Armadillos regional showdown. He later worked for Sunset Motor Lines in Amarillo.
