Brady City Council Approves Water Line Purchase
The Brady City Council authorized six inch pipe for a water line from Brady Lake to Winters Addition near FM 2028 and FM 3022. They also approved a folding stretcher for air transport of patients, sought a second hand pickup for welding gear, and reviewed police car transmission repairs. Delinquent accounts netted over $1,000 after letters were sent. The Texas Water Quality Control Board urged oxidation ponds for sewage and rainwater diversion. Fire truck clutch repairs were reported. Trustees set a December 7 meeting. Principals Fields Hunt and Coordinator Martin attended an Elementary Principals and Supervisors Conference in Houston.

County Kiddies Invited To Visit With Santa Claus
All Mc Culloch County children are invited to visit Santa on Saturday from 1 to 3 p m on the courthouse lawn. Santa will arrive on a fire truck at 1 p m, with the Brady Chamber of Commerce coordinating the event and plans for a surprise for each child.

Over 100 Iowa Farm Bureau members made a coffee break stop at Brady Housing Community Center in Brady. McCulloch County Farm Bureau members served coffee and doughnuts as the group traveled by three chartered buses toward the National Farm Bureau convention in Houston.

Final Rites Held For Pete Garza
Esperidion Pete Garza 77 of Brady died Monday. Funeral services were held at 10 a m in Wilkerson Memorial Chapel with Rev Ramon Asebedo officiating. Burial followed in Live Oak Cemetery. He was born December 14 1892 in Ojuilos and lived in Brady a year. He was a farmer, married Isbell Lopez November 20 1921 in Fredericksburg, and had five sons and seven daughters along with 62 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
