LCRA Sues McCulloch Electric Coop Over Bill in Austin
The Lower Colorado River Authority sues McCulloch Electric Cooperative in 126th District Court seeking more than 305,930 dollars plus 45,549 in alleged add ons for two years of electric service. The Brady-based co op says charges exceed rates in a 1968 contract and will discuss options with its board.

Letter Delivered 47 Years After Its Postmark
Mrs Sam Hammack found an insurance policy dated Sept 30 1929 postmarked Oklahoma City inside another envelope for Nora A Mitchell who died years ago. The letter had been misrouted to Ireland Texas and others before reaching the recipient 47 years late prompting amused remarks on the postal delivery.
