One Hour May Save a Life Blood Drive Coming
The bloodmobile will visit Brady on Thursday August 20 from 10 a m to 4 p m in the fellowship hall of the First Methodist Church. Mrs Howard Salter, Red Cross secretary, urged donors saying the center still uses more blood than it receives and that one hour of donation could save a life.

Ex-Brady Man Curtis Lewis Dies in Kermit Heart Attack
Curtis W Lewis 46 former Brady resident and Curtis Motor Co owner died in Kermit Tuesday morning of a heart attack. Born November 25 1917 in San Angelo he attended Brady High School. Funeral services were held at Hixson Funeral Chapel and graveside rites are planned in Voca with Rev L B Redwine officiating. Survivors include his parents a son and daughter two brothers and four sisters.

Polio Vaccine Fund Grants Brady Student Scholarship
Miss Mary Helen Robles, Brady High School graduate, daughter of Mr and Mrs Jesse Robles, receives a 250 scholarship funded by surplus from the Sabin Oral Polio Vaccine campaign.
