Frank Schultz Dies in Dallas
Frank Schultz 58 Brady stone mason died Saturday in a Dallas hospital after nearly a year of illness. Born May 38 1897 in Burleson County he lived in Brady 45 years. Funeral 10:30 a m Monday at Wilkerson Funeral Home with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery. Survivors include his wife two daughters two brothers a sister and two grandchildren. Pallbearers listed.

A week of widely scattered thunder showers touched McCulloch County with little relief from August heat, staying near 100 degrees. The East Sweden area saw the heaviest shower with up to 2% inches, reported by George and H. C. Johanson. Frank Kidd ranch in Camp San Saba got about a half inch with strong wind. no damage. Monday high reached 103 degrees. low 76. Sunday and Saturday highs were 99 with lows of 72.

Doole's seven month rainfall totals 20.20 inches per B L Pete Murrell weather observer for the Lower Colorado River Authority. McCulloch County average rainfall runs about 24.5 inches with more rain likely to reach that total. Brady logged 8.71 inches in 1955, the lowest on record, while Doole reported about 13 inches in 1954.

Third Liveoak Dam Bids Open in August
The Soil Conservation Service invites bids on Site No. 46 for a Liveoak Creek dam north of Brady. Bids open August 30 in Temple. The project, the 12th in the series, sits on O. D. Pence and R. S.
