Mohair Queen to Appear at Tex as Fashion Event
More than 200 people are expected for an afternoon session with a barbecue for Council members at Gillespie County Fairgrounds after the program. Hill Country area Council directors Robert Dittman and Clint Brown organize the barbecue. Miss Green, named Miss Wool and Mohair of Texas, will debut her fall fashions in Dallas' Apparel Mart during the Dallas pageant festivities. Mr and Mrs Percy Snodgrass of Alamo visited his mother Mrs H Snodgrase en route to Fort Worth Dallas and Oklahoma last Monday through Thursday.

Calf Creek Cemetery Names Duncan President
At a July 18 meeting at the Calf Creek School W R Willie Duncan was elected president to fill the vacancy left by H A Lawrence. Mr and Mrs Jim Fisher were chosen to care for the cemetery and paid 15 per working. The association urged donations by check to Calf Creek Cemetery Association and directed deposits to Brady National Bank or treasurer Mrs John Bradshaw.
