White Burros of Texas Herd Grow Under Donkey Hobby
PANNIN Tex A Texas couple Mr and Mrs Charles Copeland are building a herd of white donkeys near Fannin. They began as a hobby after buying a few animals in Mexico and a white sack. Now about 20 white burros graze the Copeland corral with Capital the 12 year old sire at 39 inches tall. They plan to use 16 whites to pull a wagon for celebrations and promotions. Copeland notes the white donkeys are gentle and safe around children, with thousands of rides at fairs and events.
