Christian Faith Classes Begin Sunday Evening
The annual School of Christian Faith starts Sunday evening at First Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Sessions run 7:30 to 8:30, through May 14, with devotional worship 8:30 to 8:45 and fellowship 8:45 to 9. Courses include The Meaning of Christ and The Significance of the Church. A $1 registration covers a course book. nursery provided.

Four Top Quartets Slated for Brady Singers Reunion
Preparations for the Heart O' Texas Singers Reunion in Brady April 22 23 highlight four featured quartets including the Sooner State Quartet Odessa Gatlin Family Fort Worth Gospeltone Quartet and Commanders Quartet Houston. About 1000 to 1500 people are expected to attend with concerts at 8 pm Saturday and open singing Sunday 9 30 am to 4 pm. Admission 50 cents adults 25 cents students.

4-H Work Pays Off In $500 Scholarship
Jerrilyn Lohn, an 18 year old Brady High senior, is named one of three Texas 4-H Club girls to receive a $500 Texas Home Demonstration Association scholarship. She plans to study vocational home economics at Southwest Texas State College and has a record of leadership and 4-H activities. Fellow recipients are Evelyn Balcerowicz and Connie Reddick.

The Melvin Fire Department answered a Tuesday 3 30 fire call at the home of Mr and Mrs J H McMillan. Extensive damage hit the kitchen and dining room with other damage to the house while some furniture bedding and clothing were saved. A full house is expected Friday night for Dont Take My Penny a three act comedy by the Brady High School senior class. Curtain at 7 30 in the BHS auditorium tickets 75 cents. Stardusters will perform pre curtain entertainment and Mrs Don Hale and Pat Malone will sing vocal solos between acts. Directed by Miss Lucille Welch the action takes place in the living room of the Pringle home in a small city.

County Approves Used Tractor Bid and Lake Easement Talks
County Commissioners Court accepts a $6,000 bid from Treanor Equipment Company for a used Caterpillar D6 tractor with trade in. Brady Water Board members discuss deeds and easements for the Brady Lake project with the commissioners. Burglars Crack Radio TV Safe. Only $40 Stolen
Burglars broke into Radio TV Sales and Service at 907 South Bridge Street by prying a panel and entering via the Farmers Supply Company garage. They opened the safe door after chiseling the front plate and escaped with about $40 in cash. This marked the second safe-cracking at nearby establishments in two weeks.
