Local investors led by John W. Jones and E. A. Connel purchased The Commercial National Bank of Brady from U. S. Bancshares Inc. The sale of 100 percent of CNB stock was approved at a stockholders meeting and completed March 18. The bank has served McCulloch County 82 years and opened in 1894, with a 100 percent growth in assets recently and a strong lender network.
