Car Crash Injures Men At Wise and Washington
Morris Mailey suffering a fractured skull and multiple broken ribs after his car collided with a city tractor at Wise and Washington streets on May 18. Grammar Hip Honor Seniors Get-Together at Grammar High

Montague County Auditing Law Sparks Taxpayer Outcry

Bowie Man Exhibits Hoop-Snake With Horn For Neighboring Farm
G R Nored displayed an 18 to 20 inch hoop-snake with a brown horn on its tail, said to be able to kill a tree if the bone enters bark. The snake, reportedly nonpoisonous, was killed by Dorothy Nored while hoeing tomatoes on her father’s farm 11 miles northeast of Bowie.

Good Crowds Enjoy Programs at Sunset and Park Springs
A Bowie crowd attended a Sunset High School gym program with Ned Horton as toastmaster. Bill Watt Found Dead at Parker's Rooming House
Bill Watt about 65 was found dead Wednesday morning at 8 00 o'clock in his room at Parker's rooming house. He was discovered by James Chapman Lowell Miller and E L Eubanks while they went to place him in hospital for treatment of blood poisoning from an infected toe. The body is held at Burgess Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements. Watt had lived in Bowie for three years and worked as a tamale vendor.
