The Wise Electric Cooperative reports funds approved to build 100 miles of electric lines in Montague and Wise counties with plans to extend to the Red River. About 125 members subscribed on the seventy mile route surveyed through Montague, tying at Park Springs on the 163 mile route. The line runs through Sunset Fruitland Bowie Rock Hill Leona Prairie Point Morris Chapel Belcherville and Valley View toward Red River.

Mrs. Katie Prater, reared in Lindale, died at her daughter’s home in Wort Oklahoma. Services held Friday at Healdton Baptist Church with Rev. C O Bigbie and Rev. S E Stark. Interment in Lindale family cemetery. Survived by husband H F Prater four sons four daughters and several grandchildren. Born January 6 1867 in Louisiana she moved to Montague County as a child.
