Stoneburg School Opens Monday With Complete Faculty
The Stoneburg school will open on Monday September 6 with a full faculty led by superintendent Bill N Allen and principal Paul Brooks. New improvements include a teacherage two concrete cellars a hardwood auditorium floor updated primary furniture and a new water supply. A large enrollment is expected on opening day.

First of New Step of Peanuts Brought to Bowie
Chester Reed brought the first of the Bowie area peanut crop to Henry Stephens Warehouse. His lot weighed about 155 bushels from 5 acres, yielding unusually high per acre returns and quality peanuts. Peanuts sell around 3.15 per bushel. Reed also baled fine hay from the crop, selling some at 31 per ton.
