Fifty women from Montague Wise and Clay counties attended a Woodman circle school of instruction held in Bowie. Local officers welcomed guests and district and state leaders spoke on circle advantages and drill work. A formal tri-county school organization was elected with officers named and next meeting set for Bowie on June 25.

May 30 ended the Centennial Farm and Home Demonstration contest in Montague County. Judges scored entries using the state card. top pairs were Mr and Mrs Green Bowie Rt 3 first, Anderson Bowie second, Spruill Sunset third, Mitchel Montague fourth, Driskill Sunset fifth. Yard rankings placed Anderson first and Green third, with district judging June 10 to determine district ranks. District prizes from Dallas News and Semi-Weekly Farm News offered 75, 50, 25 and 25 dollars to top four.

Ringgold Texas fire destroyed Smiths cafe on Friday night and damaged the post office. Fire was discovered about midnight. The frame building belonged to Dana Leeper of Nocona. C H Foley's water truck saved the post office and halted further spread.

Man's Body Found On Railroad Tracks Near Ringgold
Unidentified man about 35 to 40 years old was found dead in grass beside Rock Island tracks three miles north of Ringgold Texas. Coroner's jury at Nocona could not verdict. death believed about 24 hours earlier. The body wearing blue overalls blue shirt gray coat weighed about 150 pounds with dark complexion. Trainmen reported no recent fall from a train on the Chickasha Oklahoma to Dallas route.
